It is reminded that if you see some ox and sheep that are roaming in the field with red, yellow and green bands tied on them. They are for the sacrifice ceremonies held by locals. When you passing monasteries, Manis and Pagodas etc., you must walk pass from left to right.

Zizhu Monastery (孜珠寺) in Zizhu Mountain, Dang’en Village, Dingqing County. It is about 37km distance from the village center and you can hire a passenger van to reach the monastery. It is one of the oldest monasteries of Bon (苯) Sect. By divine power, Dunbaxinrao (敦巴辛绕), master of Bon came to the mountain, thus made it containing great spiritual power and during the past 3,500 years, there were 82 Living Buddha with high supernatural power emerged.
The mysteries of the Holy Mountain of Duola Mountain (多拉神山) are the Buddha images, sculptures and six characters Buddhist aphorisms carved on lime stones throughout the mountain. The scale of field is not very big and traditionally divided as outer, middle and inner circles. On the peak, you have a bird’s eye view of the Duola Mountain. It takes no more than 2 hours for the trip of the inner circle and it is the main section with holy mountain scenery.
Gema Monastery (噶玛寺) is located at Baixi Hill Valley, 120km on the upper reach of Zhaqu River (扎曲河) in Qamdo. It was founded by the master of Geju Sect in 1185. The monastery is the first for the sect and the name “Gema’geju” (噶玛噶举) was given since then.
The monastery is historically influential. Unique architectural style and rich cultural heritage have made it one of the most famous monasteries in Kang. A 17-meter-high Mi’le (弥勒) Buddha in the large temple is the largest cement made Buddhist statue in Qamdo. There are also well-preserved historic relics such as ancient monk pagodas, silk products and scripture books etc.
Kama’duo Pagodas (卡玛多塔林) is located at the right of the 317 National Expressways in Leiwuqi, 25km away from the county-city. The pagodas lie beside the beautiful mountain and water. In the forest of pine and cypress, a small scripture hall with a large image of the master Lianhuasheng (莲花生大师) located. It was said that there were 108 pagodas but damaged, now 20 to 30 of them have been repaired or reestablished in various shapes and sizes. Manis with many six-character aphorisms and Buddhist images are placed behind the hall.
The Holy Mountain of Shengqinlangzha (生钦郎扎神山) is in Gangtuo Village (岗托乡), Jiangda County, 100km away from the county-city. This is one of the 25 Buddhist holy mountains in Kang. Shengqinlangzha is large, it takes one whole day to tour around the mountain by horse. Among the caves for religious cultivation, the most famous is the Lianhuasheng Master Cave, where many stones with strange shapes that look like natural made Buddhist sculptures! Many monks of Ningma and Gema Sects had been practiced, therefore many pious worshipers regarded the mountain as most important place for their religion and felt very happy to pilgrimage.

Yiri Hot Springs (伊日温泉) is the best known among hot springs in Qamdo. These are widely distributed in a long strip of land surrounded by mountains, green meadow on low mountainside and dense forest on high grounds. The hot springs have many medical functions, so whenever day or night people with various ailments come here to have a bath.
